Music on the Westside (“we,” “us”) is a music school at 4020 Peggy Rd SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit musiconthewestside.com, fill out one of our forms (including forms on Facebook and Instagram), chat with us, text or call us, or enroll in lessons — and what we do with it.
Information We Collect
- What you tell us. Your name, phone number and email address, plus details about the student, such as their age and the instrument they’re interested in. We collect this when you fill out a form on our website or on Facebook or Instagram, use the chat on our site, text or call us, or enter a giveaway.
- Booking and enrollment. Online booking and enrollment run through Opus1, our studio management system, which collects the details needed to set up your account and payments. We don’t collect or store payment card numbers on this website.
- How you use our site. We use cookies and similar tools from Google (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads) to see how visitors use the site and how well our ads work. They record things like the pages you visit, your device and browser, your approximate location, and how you found us. Some pages include YouTube videos, and YouTube may set its own cookies when you play them.
How We Use It
- To answer your questions and schedule trial lessons
- To run lessons and your account, including reminders and updates about lessons, events and studio closures
- To tell you about programs, events and offers (you can opt out at any time)
- To run giveaways and contact winners
- To improve our website and measure our advertising
Text Messages
If you give us your mobile number, we may text you about your inquiry, your lessons, scheduling and studio news. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or your consent to receive texts with anyone for their own marketing.
Who We Share It With
We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With companies that help us run the studio, such as our website forms, chat and texting platform, our studio management system, and our email and analytics tools
- With our teachers, who see the student details they need to teach
- When the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our students, families and staff
If you fill out one of our forms on Facebook or Instagram, Meta passes your answers to us, and Meta’s own privacy policy covers how Meta handles them.
Your Choices
- Texts: reply STOP. Emails: use the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Cookies: block or delete cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out add-on, and manage ad personalization in Google’s My Ad Center.

Children’s Privacy
We teach students as young as 4, but our website and forms are meant for parents, guardians and adult students. We don’t knowingly collect personal information online directly from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Keeping It Safe
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no website or online service is completely secure.
